Course description
This virtual classroom series will cover the following topics:
- Multidisciplinary involvement at every stage of the process
- An understanding of the benefits of optimized DBS surgical workflow and technology integration
- What to consider in relation to pre-op imaging
- The value and application of intra-op O-arm imaging
- A comparative overview of O-arm based workflow vs. alternatives
Next steps: in centre visit
Following the participation in the Virtual Classroom, selected teams of max. 3 participants can have the opportunity for a 2 day visit at Kings College to shadow the work of the multidisciplinary team under the supervision of Prof. Ashkan

- Neurosurgeons practising DBS with interest in technology and new image-based workflow for DBS
- DBS Multidisciplinary teams including neurologists and clinical nurse specialists
Learning objectives
The participants will learn from the unique DBS workflow process implemented by King’s College Hospital related to the DBS procedure. Participants will see how the hospital has implemented a multi-disciplinary set-up along with technology integration throughout the patient journey.
