Course description
Develop a referral path and share a platform for a care pathway discussion
Target audience
Team with oncologist and experienced implanters willing to use TDD for patient with cancer pain, ideally from the same centre or network:
- Medical oncologist
- Pain therapist (implanters with basic TDD experience that wish to approach cancer patients)
- Palliative therapist
Learning objectives
At the end of this training participants will be able to have developed a better understanding of:
- The treatment algorithm (oncologist)
- Patient selection and how to present the therapy to the patient
- How to treat specific class of patient and cancer
- Trialling implantation methods depending on cancer type
- Troubleshooting in over and undergoes (practical cases)
- Patient follow-up including refill and drug management
