In 2002, Rob de Bie (1969) acquired a PhD with the thesis entitled Stereotactic pallidotomy in Parkinson's disease. He was trained in Neurology at the Academic Medical Center Amsterdam. In 2006, he completed a one year fellowship at the Movement Disorders Center of the Toronto Western Hospital (Prof. A.E. Lang). Currently, he works in the AMC as a neurologist with special interest in movement disorders and deep brain stimulation.
