CLINICAL PRACTICE
My clinical practice focuses on movement disorder in children, result of cerebral palsy or acquired brain injury. I have developed techniques for the treatment of hydrocephalus and spasticity and have performed foetal surgery.
With increased demand for treatment of spasticity and movement disorder I reconfigured my activity and increased my clinical practice.
My main clinical focus is the treatment of movement disorder in cerebral palsy e.g. spasticity by means of Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) and Intra Thecal Baclofen (ITB) pumps. At the present we have a subdivision of functional neurosurgery that deals with movement disorder in children and adults and covers the entire treatment range e.g. Deep Brain Stimulation, Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, IntraThecal Baclofen and spinal cord stimulation.
