Course Description

This 3-day tutorial offer stereotactic neurosurgeons the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the application of DBS for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. The course combines theoretical learning and hands-on experience.

Target Audience

Neurosurgeons with at least 2 or more years of experience with stereotactic neurosurgery and interested in in the application of DBS for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this training participants will:
- Implant DBS system according to the latest guidelines
- Evaluate correct targeting
- Position leads to maximize patient therapy benefit
- Avoid OR and post-implant complications
