Course description

This tutorial program is designed to support the transfer of knowledge and experience which is essential to meet the quality standards required by this therapy. It includes not only a theoretical training but also on-site practical learning. The course program will focus on nurses involvement in SCS practice, treatment options, patient selection, implantation techniques, post-operative management and programming, patient cases and troubleshooting. 

Target Audience

Nurses with experience in the treatment of pain and interest in neuromodulation therapies to treat chronic pain syndromes.

Learning objectives

At the end of this training participants will:
- Select the correct patients who could benefit from the therapy
- Understand and describe the mechanisms of action and concepts of the therapy to the patients
- Evaluate the clinical support structure required for the use of the therapy
- Provide follow-up services for patients who are being treated with the therapy
