Course description

One-day course and cadaver workshop on the use of Occipital Nerve Stimulation (ONS) for the treatment of Intractable Chronic Cluster Headache (ICCH).

Target audience

This course is designed for Health Care Professionals involved in pain management and treatment of ICCH. Participants should have a significant experience, with ongoing treatment modalities of ICCH and Spinal Cord Stimulation.

Learning objectives

After participating in this educational program, participants should have an understanding of:
- the medical need around ICCH (diagnosis, clinical burden, treatment algorithm and patient selection for ONS),
- the anatomy of the occipital nerves,
- the implantation techniques for ONS, procedure recommendations and choice of implanted device,
- the programming of the implanted device.
