Course Description

These 2-day course offers neurologists and neurosurgeons the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the application of DBS for the treatment of Dystonia in children, young adults and adult patients. 

Target Audience

Neurologists and Neurosurgeons dealing with Dystonia patients and interested in the use of DBS for the treatment of these conditions.

Learning Objectives

After this training, the participants will be able to manage Dystonia patients of various ages, and their relatives or caretakers, in relation to the DBS therapy, from the very first visit, through the surgery phase and long-term management. The participants will be able to address what matters most to the patients and carers, from psychological aspects to questions related to the surgical procedure.
