Course description

This 2-day course addresses Deep Brain Stimulation treatment for movement disorders and brings experienced participants to the next level. The course revisits the key points of disease diagnostic and patient selection, implant technique and per-op therapy enabling, and long-term patient management, for the best clinical outcome. The course is lecture and workshop based.

Target audience

Neurologists with experience in the field of Deep Brain Stimulation for the treatment of Movement Disorders.

Learning objectives

At the end of this training participants will:


• Select patients according to latest guidelines,
• Determinate implantation targets for the identified pathology,
• Assess patients during surgery using least traumatic techniques,
• Start the per-op DBS therapy in the best conditions,
