Course description

This course has been specifically designed to provide the attendees with the fundamental knowledge and some of the practical experience needed to incorporate the targeted drug delivery therapy for the treatment of severe spasticity into their practice. Although the course will cover all the clinical aspects of the treatment of severe spasticity with that therapy, it will mainly focus on the patient selection, the screening test and the therapy optimization and maintenance after the pump implant. The attendees will have the opportunity to see a live screening test, several patient assessments and some pump refills.

Target audience

Healthcare professionals (neurologists, neurosurgeons, rehabilitation physicians,…) who are interested on expanding their knowledge about the targeted drug delivery for the treatment of spasticity. It doesn’t matter if they are currently using the therapy or planning to do it in the near future. It is important to take into consideration that this course has been specifically designed for those who are or will be actively involved on the patient selection, the screening test and the therapy optimization and maintenance.
