Course Description

The course is focused on the use of Intrathecal Baclofen and delivery of practical skills to enable less experienced or new teams to incorporate ITB into their practice based on teachings in course.

Target Audience

Rehabilitation specialists involved or planning to be involved in the care of paediatric patients with ITB:
- Neurologists
- Neurosurgeons
- Physical therapists
- Physical medicine & rehabilitation physicians

Learning Objectives

At the end of this training participants will:
- Manage spasticity according to Paediatric Spasticity Guidelines
- Know mechanism, efficacy and outcomes of ITB in children
- Trial patients according to best practices
- Implant pump according to best practices
- Program and troubleshoot the pump with advanced settings
